POST PRODUCTION – Editing conventions

 The standardized JOHN JAY logo and CUNY logo must appear in all video openings. The file is located in the Promise Raid hard drive of the workstation,  in the Assets Folder. On the slide the words JOHN and JAY are animated

  

All videos end with the official  closing slide.  Same as the opening slide

Lower thirds appear on the subject’s first speaking appearance – Duration  6 seconds and include

  • (first line) First and last name (comma) title with a period (Ph.D., M.S. etc)
  • (second line) John Jay college  12 frame fade up (24f ps), followed by Department unit, 15 frame fade up (30 fps)

BUG (VIDEO WATERMARK)

The watermark protects the intellectual property of the video content and promotes teh John Jay brand

The bug must be inserted in the lower right corner of all recordings , THe bug watermark is translucent to not complete obscure but always be visible in front of light and dark backgrounds.

The bug is located is located in the Promise Raid hard drive of the workstation,  in the Assets Folder.

The naming convention in Wistia is:

PROJECT FOLDERS

  • Course # (Example CRJ760)
  • In the description Field : Title of Course – Professor Name

For VIDEOS

MODULE # ( Example MODULE 1, Module 2)

VIDEO: Versions

All latest cuts should be placed in the Latest Version in Wistia

Create a FINAL VERSION in vistia for the completed video

Create a section in Wistia for older Version
